Saint Mary has gone a perfect 5-0 against Hercules recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Titans at 4:00 p.m. Saint Mary's is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Saint Mary's can't be too worried about heading out to take on Hercules: they just beat El Cerrito at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Panthers walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Gauchos on Monday.
Damien Nolan made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Nolan was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Donoviel, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Meanwhile, Hercules came up short against Salesian College Preparatory on Tuesday, falling 12-5. The Titans have struggled against the Pride recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Chace Tennyson and Kaylan Montgomery stepped up to the plate in a big way. Tennyson got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one double, while Montgomery went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs. Tennyson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Solis, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.
Hercules' defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Saint Mary's, their record is now 14-6.
Hercules' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Saint Mary's has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.2 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Hercules, though, as they've been averaging only 4 strikeouts. Will Saint Mary's keep running through batters, or will the Titans buck the trend?
Saint Mary's was able to grind out a solid win over Hercules in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, winning 10-7. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
