Volleyball Recap: Lanier Gets the Win

Lanier won the last time they faced Duluth and things went their way on Thursday too. The Longhorns walked away with a 2-0 win over the Wildcats.

Lanier easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17.

Their offense was headlined by Brooklyn Surles and Pilar Zucal, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Addy Gosselin and her 21 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Lanier's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

Lanier wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Mountain View on the 7th. As for Duluth, they will head out to take on Archer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
