They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 73-42 victory over Hanford. For Bakersfield Christian, this counts as revenge for the 104-66 loss Hanford walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2018.
Bakersfield Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava King led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. Sara Shein was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with 7 rebounds.
The win got Bakersfield Christian back to even at 2-2. As for Hanford, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Bakersfield Christian will square off against Bullard at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bullard presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bakersfield Christian in California (Bullard is ranked 27th, while Bakersfield Christian is ranked 298th). As for Hanford, they will square off against Central at 3:00 p.m. on December 6th. Central is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
