The Whittier Christian Heralds can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 70-39 win over Heritage Christian. Winning may never get old, but Whittier Christian sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Whittier Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jatniel Cabrera, who scored 23 points along with eight assists and four steals. Cabrera hasn't dropped below 15points for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Zoe Sanborn, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Whittier Christian pushed their record up to 16-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for Heritage Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-11.
Whittier Christian will head out on the road to square off against Village Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Heritage Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Poly at 10:30 a.m. on January 20th. Poly is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.5 points per game.
