Pipestone have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on St. James at 7:00 PM. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
Pipestone were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They made easy work of New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva two weeks ago and carried off a 35-7 win.
Meanwhile, St. James took their contest against Martin County West last week by a conclusive 42-8 score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point St. James had established a 35-8 advantage.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-0. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
