Lapel extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Laniah Wills. The Lapel Bulldogs came out on top against the Monroe Central Golden Bears by a score of 48-39 on Thursday thanks in part to Wills, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 26 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Lapel's points.

Lapel has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Monroe Central, they moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Lapel will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Winchester Community at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Monroe Central will take on Blackford in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
