The Colfax Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Colfax is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 11 games.
Colfax can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They blew past Sutter 75-36 at home. Given Colfax's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Sutter is ranked 623rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Juliette James continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Laurlyn Massick was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Twelve Bridges was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 58-54 to Center. Twelve Bridges has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Colfax pushed their record up to 18-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Twelve Bridges, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Colfax against Twelve Bridges when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 71-14 win. With Colfax ahead 42-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
