Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for North Scott

North Scott had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Davenport Central Blue Devils 17-2. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by eight runs or more this season.

North Scott pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Davenport Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season.

North Scott has already played their next game, a 7-6 victory against North Linn on the 27th. As for Davenport Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Independence on the 28th.
