On Tuesday, O'Farrell Charter got the win against San Diego Academy by a conclusive 38-14. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won three in a row.

O'Farrell Charter had a senior duo take command as Rusom Liona almost dropped a double-double with nine boards and ten steals and Ty'Reiona Washington shot 50% from the field on her way to 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Washington has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bazzo Iilaria, who posted five points.
O'Farrell Charter was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, El Camino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-50 heartbreaker at the hands of Valley Center. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Jaguars 17-10 in the first quarter.
O'Farrell Charter will need to focus on slowing down Jalani Hadnot, one of several El Camino players who made an impact when they last played. She dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Hadnot has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times she's played. Vanessa McFerran was another key player, putting up 14 points and six rebounds.
El Camino now has a losing record of 4-5. As for O'Farrell Charter, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: O'Farrell Charter has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 22 boards per game.
