The Franklin Cougars can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They blew past Socorro 57-30 at home. The victory was just what Franklin needed coming off of a 73-32 defeat in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Caitlynn Clark, who scored 14 points along with six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Balsiger, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Socorro lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Giselle Medrano, who scored five points along with four steals.
Franklin pushed their record up to 19-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Socorro, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-19.
Franklin will head out on the road to challenge Montwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Montwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while Franklin is ranked 140th). As for Socorro, they will be playing at home against Eastlake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
