The Wasco Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 63-39 walloping at the hands of Chavez. Wasco lost against Chavez in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 57-35 score last time.
Despite the loss, Wasco still got an impressive performance from Cassandra Evangelista, who scored 15 points. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Romero, who scored four points along with three steals.
Wasco bumped their record down to 3-14 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Chavez, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.
Wasco will head out on the road to face off against Delano at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Delano is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Chavez, they will be playing at home against Taft at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Taft focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Wednesday.
