The Arrowhead Christian Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Ontario Christian Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Arrowhead Christian will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Arrowhead Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over Patriot.
Brayden Bennett was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

Bennett wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Deegan Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave Martinez a new career-high.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Ontario Christian made sure to put some runs up on the board against Century on Wednesday. The Knights were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Centurions. That looming 11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.
Like Arrowhead Christian, Ontario Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Brady Dinco. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Dinco was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Ontario Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 3-12 when he doesn't).
In other pitching news, Ontario Christian got a great performance from Dominic Schmidt as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched.
Back at the plate, Nate Morales was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. Matt Jimenez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Arrowhead Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Ontario Christian, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13.
Ontario Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Arrowhead Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .444. It's a different story for Ontario Christian, though, as they've only averaged .362. Will they be able to contain Arrowhead Christian's hitters?
Arrowhead Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Ontario Christian in their previous meeting last Tuesday, winning 6-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
