Macie Williamson led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Willow Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Arabia Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Douglass by a score of 14-11 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Arabia Mountain let Ariel Grandison and Samiyah Zellars run wild. Grandison went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs, while Zellars fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Zellars has been hot, having also posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played. Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lakeside hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Arabia Mountain struggles in that department as they've averaged .481. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lakeside took their victory against Arabia Mountain in their previous matchup on September 4th by a conclusive 16-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
