Sebastopol has gone 8-2 against Noxapater recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bobcats will look to defend their home field against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Sebastopol and Newton had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 17-6 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won seven in a row.

Ike Strickland and Colt Reed were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Strickland pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Reed tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Strickland also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Sebastopol is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 8-9 otherwise. At the plate, Strickland got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three runs and one double, while Reed went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three runs gave Strickland a new career-high.
In other batting news, Colt Commer and Colby Dooley did most of the damage at the plate: Commer went a perfect 5-for-5 with three RBI and two runs, while Dooley got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Dooley is becoming a predictor of Sebastopol's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 8-4 (and 3-6 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Connally Gaddis, who went 3-for-6 with two runs and one RBI.
Sebastopol was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .487. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Noxapater got themselves on the board against Sebastopol on Tuesday, but Sebastopol never followed suit. They blew past the Bobcats 7-0.
The result came thanks to Brody Joiner's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
Sebastopol now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Noxapater, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Sebastopol has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Noxapater struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
