The Ceres Bulldogs will face off against the Cordova Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Ceres sitting on seven straight victories and Cordova on four.
Ceres scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 65-55 victory over Mountain House. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Marissa Renteria, who scored 32 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Ceres' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Arrayah Stallworth, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Cordova put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Florin 55-10 at home.
Ceres pushed their record up to 20-7 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Cordova, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-13 record this season.
