The Millville Quakers were the  40-34 winner over the Northumberland Christian Warriors when they last played one another  back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Millville fell to Northumberland Christian  44-38. Millville has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Millville lost  on Monday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Larissa Evans, who  scored 14 points along with eight  rebounds and six  steals. That was a full 36.8% of Millville's points, marking the 16th time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was  Abby Kakaley, who  scored 14 points along with two  steals.
 Millville has  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost four of their last five matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Northumberland Christian,  the  win  got them back to even at 6-6.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millville won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Bucktail at 7:30  p.m.  on January 23rd. Northumberland Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Juniata Christian at 6:00  p.m.  on January 25th.
