The Plumas Charter Warriors were the 33-20 winner over the Princeton Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Plumas Charter lost to Princeton on the road by a decisive 30-15 margin on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Plumas Charter has scored all season.
Princeton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mackenzie Wills out in front who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five steals. Wills has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sissy Winn, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Plumas Charter has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Princeton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plumas Charter won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Loyalton at 5:00 p.m. on January 24th. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Loyalton has seven straight victories, Plumas Charter has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field. As for Princeton, they will head out on the road to challenge Westwood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
