The Dana Hills Dolphins can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They breezed by El Toro on the road to the tune of 62-30. Winning may never get old, but Dana Hills sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Lola Bellon was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ally Fausett, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
El Toro lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mariana Mina, who scored ten points along with two steals. Mina has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.
Dana Hills is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for El Toro, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dana Hills will take on Mission Viejo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mission Viejo will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 954th, while Dana Hills is ranked 110th). As for El Toro, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Capistrano Valley at 7:00 p.m. Capistrano Valley comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
