The Carson Colts fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Valencia Tigers on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to the Tigers. Carson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Carson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Madison Wheeler, who scored 19 points. Wheeler has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Jackson, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Carson's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Valencia, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
