The Poway Titans will be taking part in a tournament against the Santa Fe Christian Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Poway 4, Santa Fe Christian 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Poway is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of San Pasqual.

Luke Prigmore was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Poway saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trenton Uyeda, who went 3-for-6 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits Uyeda has posted since back in May of 2024. Hayden Resch also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Even though they lost, Poway kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Santa Fe Christian sidestepped Rancho Bernardo for a 6-4 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Kam Lohse spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Kyle Plasman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Noonan, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Santa Fe Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Poway, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Poway beat Santa Fe Christian 8-4 when the teams last played back in April of 2021. Does Poway have another victory up their sleeve, or will Santa Fe Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
