After soaring to 55 points the game before, the Walthill Blujays were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were dealt a 55-18 defeat at the hands of Osmond/Randolph. Walthill has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Osmond/Randolph's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Scott, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Scott has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sophie Gansebom, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Walthill has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Osmond/Randolph, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-14.
Walthill is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Chiefs on February 6th. As for Osmond/Randolph, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Wausa is ranked 249th, while the Hawks are ranked 244th).
