The Bear River Bruins will head out to square off against the Amador Buffaloes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bear River 3.9, Amador 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Bear River is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Hilmar get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Bruins as they're now sitting on four straight.

The result came thanks to Kaden Nicholls's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Bear River's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Karter Scott, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Scott a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Amador got the win against Bret Harte on Friday by a conclusive 14-4. The result was nothing new for the Buffaloes, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Amador let Brad Blankenheim and Sam Baker run wild. Blankenheim got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Baker went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Amador kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive matchups.
Bear River's record is now 17-10. As for Amador, their record now sits at 22-5-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bear River has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Amador struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Bear River skirted past Amador 7-5 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
