The Maplewood Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Rocky Grove Orioles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Maplewood has five straight wins, the Orioles have six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Maplewood earned a 55-48 win over the Bears.
Meanwhile, Rocky Grove was beaten by the Cardinals 57-26 on Monday. Rocky Grove has not had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Maplewood's win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Rocky Grove, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Maplewood against the Orioles when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 51-23 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maplewood since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
