Softball Recap: Macomb Has No Trouble Against Mill Creek

Macomb came out on top against Mill Creek on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run third inning. The Hornets put the hurt on the Bullfrogs with a sharp 11-1 win. Considering the Hornets have won four matches by more than eight runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Macomb is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mill Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Coming up, Macomb will be playing at home against Bowlegs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mill Creek, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Coleman at 4:30 p.m. on September 15.
