A total of 75 players have been identified as members of the 2025 MaxPreps All-Sac-Joaquin Section softball team.
There are Co-Players of the Year, two Underclassmen of the Year and 30 players on the first and second teams along with 15 honorable mention selections.
The selection process was based on individual performance during section play with regional play not being considered. An emphasis was placed on team success. Additionally, league and strength of schedule were taken into account. If you feel a player was overlooked, please post on X @sacmaxpreps.

Ellison Schroeder, Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills)
Pitcher | Class of 2025The Santa Clara commit went out as a back-to-back-to-back section champion. The powerful right-handed ace logged 150 innings of work, struck out 172 and finished with a 1.03 ERA.
Ayla Tuua, Destiny Christian Academy (Sacramento)
Pitcher | Class of 2026The LSU commit led the Lions to a second section title in three years. Mowed down 163 batters in 75 innings of work. She also batted .500 with six home runs.
Underclassmen of the YearNiayli Calvo, Vanden (Fairfield)Infielder | Class of 2027The shortstop for the Vikings may have been the toughest out in the section. The sophomore finished with a .717 batting average, .778 OBP and helped lead her squad to a Division 3 section title.
Kamryn Thornburg, Calaveras (San Andreas)Pitcher | Class of 2027Led the team with a .422 average and was dominant in the circle. She finished the season with 330 punch-outs for the Division 5 section champs.

Marisa Bryson, Pioneer (Woodland)Infielder | Class of 2026Stanford commit had another monster year for the Division 4 section runner-up. She batted .615 and blasted 10 home runs.
Emalee Cargill, TracyUtility | Class of 2026The California commit piled up 60 hits, batted .600 and smacked four home runs for the Bulldogs.
Chloe Champas, Del Oro (Loomis)Outfield | Class of 2026The two hitter for the Golden Eagles led the team with a .500 batting average and was a stud in the outfield.
Abby Davidson, Del OroOutfield | Class of 2025Utah Tech commit tied for a section-best 14 home runs and drove in 42 runs.

Her bat was on fire all season for the Bulldogs. She tied for a section-best 14 long balls and batted .505.
Mikayla Finn, Del Oro
Pitcher | Class of 2027The lefty ace for the Eagles was one of the top pitchers in the section. She finished with a 1.04 ERA and struck out 202 batters.
Nicole Fonti, Woodcreek (Roseville)
Outfield | Class of 2025Batted .411 in the middle of the lineup for the Timberwolves.
McKayla Fulmer, Destiny Christian
Catcher | Class of 2026Fresno State commit is one of the most athletic catchers in the state. She gets things rolling as well at the top of the lineup for the Lions.
Zaria Gee, Casa Roble (Orangevale)
Catcher | Class of 2025Nevada commit was a force with the Rams, finished the season on an 11-game hit streak with 24 total hits during that timeframe.
Emery Glaser, Oak Ridge
Outfield | Class of 2026Committed to Nevada, Glaser was clutch all season for the Trojans. She came up with some of the biggest hits in the biggest moments for the Division 1 section champs.

Infielder | Class of 2025Doing it in the classroom and on the diamond, the Cornell commit hit .443 and sent six deep.
K.J. Horton, Vanden
Utility | Class of 2028One of several young talents in the Vanden lineup. The freshman had five hits and a RBI to close out the season and help her squad take home the Division 3 title.
Ashlyn Jubrey, Lodi
Pitcher | Class of 2025Stanislaus State commit finished with a 0.85 ERA in 115 innings of work. She also was flamethrower, striking out 202 batters.
Micah Kennedy, Sheldon (Sacramento)
Utility | Class of 2027Batted .471 with four home runs while also striking out 122 in 101 innings of work in the circle.

Infielder | Class of 2025
San Diego State commit batted .477 this season, wrapping up her section career with a .402 batting average and 23 home runs.
Hayden Kyne, VacavilleCatcher | Class of 2025Notre Dame commit is a wall behind the plate and can crush it at the dish as well. She wrapped up her senior year batting .584 with eight home runs.
Madeline Lawson, Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove)
Pitcher | Class of 2025Columbia commit was the top hitter and the ace in 2025. She batted .478 with four home runs while mowing down 178 batters.
Savannah Lorenzini, RocklinInfielder | Class of 2026Coastal Carolina commit was a big piece to the feared Thunder lineup. She hit .434 and had five jacks.
Maryn Macneil, Woodcreek
Pitcher | Class of 2025Hawaii commit was one of the top pitchers and hitters in the section. She batted .488 and hit 11 home runs. She also struck out 120 in the circle.
Kate McCartney, Ponderosa (Shingle Springs)
Infielder | Class of 2028She made a splash as a freshman with power and a great glove. The Capital Valley Conference Offensive MVP hit .492 with nine home runs.

Infielder | Class of 2025Cal Poly-Humboldt commit was a shutdown third baseman and major weapon on offense. The speedy lefty hit .482 on the season.
Samantha Nichols, Central Catholic (Modesto)
Infielder | Class of 2027Another one of the standout sophomores in the section, Nichols had 52 hits, 45 RBI and seven home runs.
Brooklyn Paratore, Oak Ridge
Utility | Class of 2026Washington commit finished section play with a .621 on-base percentage. The powerful lefty batted .519 and is one of the most feared hitters in the state.
Payton Prior, Rocklin
Pitcher | Class of 2027No sophomore slump for Prior in 2025. The ace for the Thunder won 20 games in the circle and mowed down 211 batters. She could also swing it at the dish.
Jazmarie Roberts, Central Catholic
Infielder | Class of 2025Arizona State commit wrapped up her career with her best hitting season yet, batting .495 with 58 RBI and eight jacks.
Taylor Sansaver, Tracy
Outfield | Class of 2027The speedy outfielder batted .520 on the season and was a major weapon on base. She is now a perfect 53-for-53 in stolen base attempts during her career.
Carly Short Oak Ridge
Infielder | Class of 2025North Carolina State commit is one of the top shortstops in the state, making everything look routine. She can also swing it, finishing with a .367 average in the brutal SFL.

Infielder | Class of 2026The lefty put pressure on defenses all season long, finishing with a .416 batting average.

Infielder | Class of 2025Nevada signee came back from injury for her senior season and was on fire, hitting .512 and blasting 11 bombs.

Infielder | Class of 2025Weber State commit was another powerful bat for the Bulldog offense, hitting .469 with 19 extra-base hits.
Second TeamMicayla Arlotto, Franklin (Elk Grove)
Outfield | Class of 2025Cal Poly commit was a big bat in the Wildcats' offense. She had 19 extra-base hits and finished with a .455 batting average.

Pitcher | Class of 2027The Bulldog ace went 18-1 in the circle and stuck out 269 batters. She also hit .615 with 13 bombs.

Infielder | Class of 2026Arizona commit wrapped up her junior season with a .701 on-base percentage. She was walked 17 times and hit .600 overall.

Infielder | Class of 2025Cal Poly pledge was the centerpiece of the defense at shortstop. She also led the team with a .436 batting average.

Infielder | Class of 2027Had at least one base hit in all but three games this season for the Eagles. She finished with a .473 average.

Infielder | Class of 2025UNLV commit finished with a .489 batting average, 21 extra-base hits and swiped 24 bags.
Izianah Castillo, Elk Grove
Infielder | Class of 2028Led the Thundering Herd in batting average and on-base percentage. She was walked 20 times and only had four strikeouts in 109 plate appearances.

Outfield | Class of 2028The lefty set the table for many of the Vikings' big innings. The Division 3 section champ finished with a .511 on-base percentage.
Taylor Cordell, Whitney
Pitcher | Class of 2028Didn't look like a freshman in the Division 2 title game, pitching a complete game two-hitter, striking out six during a 1-0 victory over Rocklin.
Isabella Cueva, Vanden
Pitcher | Class of 2025Logged the majority of the innings for the Vikings, pitching every step of the way during their Division 3 section title run.
Laila Dean, Vacaville
Infielder | Class of 2026Idaho State commit ended her junior campaign with a .541 on-base percentage. She had 10 games this season where she had at last a pair of hits.
Paige Denniston, Placer (Auburn)
Infielder | Class of 2027Huge reason the Hillmen went from 0-15 in 2024 to making the Division 4 semifinals in 2025. She hit 10 home runs and batted .492.
Kaeliana DePerio, Kimball (Tracy)
Outfield | Class of 2025The senior hit nearly .500 in over 100 at bats this season. She racked up 50 total hits.
Chloe Gomes, Oakmont (Roseville)
Infielder | Class of 2025The PVL MVP and San Marcos commit finished by batting .500 during her senior season. She held down the middle of the field for the Vikings at shortstop.
Bella Granata, Liberty Ranch (Galt)
Catcher | Class of 2026California commit can smash, launching seven home runs and collecting 23 extra-base hits. She was walked 19 times this season.
Emma Johnson, Del Oro
Infielder | Class of 2028The future is bright for the Eagles as Johnson was one of several impact freshmen. She blasted seven home runs and batted .436.
Teagan Hayes, Woodland Christian (Woodland)
Utility | Class of 2025Tennessee-Martin commit wrapped up her stellar career by batting .574 with nine home runs and 40 RBI.
Luna Lopez, Mountain House
Pitcher | Class of 2025Lefty ace for the Mustangs pitched in 148 innings this season, finishing with a 1.65 ERA and 210 strikeouts.

Infielder | Class of 2028The shortstop burst onto the season this season for the Blue Devils. She racked up 42 hits and finished with a .438 average.

Catcher | Class of 2026The powerful lefty locked up the middle of the lineup for the Grizzlies. She hit .333 overall in the the tough Sierra Foothill Valley League.

Catcher | Class of 2025North Carolina State commit was clutch all season both behind the plate and at the dish. She scored six runs during the Trojans' Division 1 section title run.
