The Bear Creek Bruins lost against the Edison Vikings back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Bear Creek fell to Edison 36-32. Bear Creek has struggled against Edison recently, as their contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Bear Creek saw an underclassman step up: DJ Jackson scored 8 points along with 18 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Siannah Rios , who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Bear Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Edison, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bear Creek's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fortune Early College at 5:30 p.m. on December 6th. Edison will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on California at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th.
