 On the hitting side,  Mason Metz was  excellent,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in four of his seven plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Jack Dolan, who  got on base  in four of his seven plate appearances with a  double and  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile,  Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took  a  9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central Cambria.
  Griffin Snowberger was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with two  runs and a  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Baron Dionis, who  went 2-for-4 with two  doubles and two  RBI.
 Avonworth has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record  this season. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.
