The Lower Lake Trojans were the 53-33 winner over the Willits Wolverines when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Lower Lake fell to Willits 48-43. Lower Lake's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it four in a row.
It was another big night for Hazel Cooke, who scored 25 points along with five blocks for Willits. Those five blocks set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Cecily Potter, who scored 14 points.
Lower Lake has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Willits, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Lower Lake will be home for the holidays to greet Upper Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Upper Lake comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Willits, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Bragg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
