The Independence 76ers's found some homefield redemption this week after a tough overtime loss to the Piedmont Hills Pirates on Thursday. Independence took their match at home with ease, bagging a 52-8 win over James Lick. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-5.
Independence had a senior duo take command as Ashjeet Kaur scored 10 points and Jodi Regondola scored 8 points. The contest was Kaur's third in a row with at least ten points. Teagan Hum was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Independence now has a winning record of 2-1. As for James Lick, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Independence will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Overfelt at 7:00 p.m. James Lick won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Live Oak at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Live Oak focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Thursday.
