Van Nuys had won four straight games and Carlos Herrera did his part to make it five on Friday. The Wolves walked away with a 43-36 win over the Panorama Pythons with plenty of help from Herrera, who rushed for 156 yards and one score on only 14 carries, and also threw for 91 yards and a pair of TDs. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 89 yards.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Van Nuys, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Luis Giron, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
