Coronado has enjoyed the comforts of home their last six games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Kearny Komets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
On Tuesday, Coronado came up short against Madison and fell 38-28. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Coronado in their matchups with Madison: they've now lost five in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Selena Herrera, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Susanna Pate, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Kearny didn't have too much trouble with Mission Bay on the road on Tuesday as they won 33-14. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kearny.
Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Kearny, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
Coronado lost to Kearny on the road by a decisive 44-28 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Coronado avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
