Los Amigos has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Santiago Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Santiago took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Los Amigos, who comes in off a win.
Los Amigos scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Bolsa Grande, posting a 60-11 victory at home. The victory was just what Los Amigos needed coming off of a 52-31 loss in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Los Amigos to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophia Boyer, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Boyer has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mandy Le, who scored 14 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Santiago fought the good fight in their overtime match against Loara on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Saxons 49-44.
Los Amigos' win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Santiago, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.
Los Amigos suffered a grim 64-40 defeat to Santiago in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Los Amigos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
