The Lancaster Eagles and the Marshall Eagles squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but sadly the Lancaster Eagles had to settle for second. They were the victim of a tough 58-32 loss at the hands of the Eagles.
Marshall's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Destiny Ihiaso, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Jolynn Abilar was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Lancaster's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Marshall, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7.
Lancaster does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marshall, they will face off against Corona at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (Corona is ranked 378th, while Marshall is ranked 374th).
