Etna has gone 9-1 against Fall River recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lions will welcome the Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
Etna took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Lost River as they made off with an 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Chance Perez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs.
In other batting news, Noah Hubbard was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last nine games he's played. Oliver Griggs was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
Etna always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lost River only posted an OBP of .364.
Meanwhile, Fall River had to endure a 13-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Burney 11-4 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 7th (when they won 13-2).
The team relied heavily on Jacob Casper, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Coefield, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Etna pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Fall River, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-13.
Fall River's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Etna has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Fall River, though, as they've been averaging 10.9 hits. Given Etna's sizable advantage in that area, the Bulldogs will need to find a way to close that gap.
Etna took their win against Fall River when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-1 score. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
