The Lovelady Lions put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 28-16 victory over Deweyville. That's another feather in the cap for Lovelady, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Deweyville's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elijah Milton, who rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Lovelady's win was their fifth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Deweyville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2.
Lovelady will take on Carlisle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Deweyville, they will face off against Mt. Enterprise at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Enterprise knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Deweyville likes a good challenge.
