The Junction City Dragons are taking a road trip to challenge the Murfreesboro Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Junction City sitting on four straight wins and Murfreesboro on three.
If Junction City beats Murfreesboro with 43 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Dragons simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Dierks 43-14. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 29 points or more this season.

Junction City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jakorey Larry, Jermaine Kennedy, and Gray picked up one apiece. Gray got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Murfreesboro). Everything went their way against Lafayette County on Friday as they made off with a 54-34 victory. The Rattlers are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the fourth game they've won by 20+ points this season.
Junction City better keep an eye on Liam Eoff. He was instrumental in Murfreesboro's win, picking up 90 receiving yards and one touchdown. Eoff was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 50 yards.
Junction City's record is now 6-1. As for Murfreesboro, their record now sits at 5-2.
The upcoming contest will be a clash of competing strengths. Junction City has deployed a run-first offense that has averaged 244.4 rushing yards a game. Meanwhile, Murfreesboro has preferred to attack from the air: they average 281 passing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
Junction City ended up a good deal behind Murfreesboro in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, losing 30-14. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
