Cedar Shoals is 1-9 against Clarke Central since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Wednesday. Cedar Shoals will host Clarke Central  at 5:30  p.m. Cedar Shoals has given up an average of 15.1  runs per game this season, but Wednesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Cedar Shoals managed to slip by Rockdale County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around.  Cedar Shoals saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Zac Pomeroy, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  RBI. That's the most  hits  Pomeroy has posted since back in February of 2024. Another  was  Aiden Johnson, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, while Clarke Central put up plenty of  runs on Monday, the same  can't be said for Alcovy. Clarke Central was the clear victor by  a  15-0 margin over Alcovy. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Gladiators.
The team  relied heavily on  Casper Emory, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. He has become a key player for Clarke Central: the team is 4-1 when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 6-10 otherwise.  Sam Williams was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.
 Clarke Central  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .667. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  OBP total in five consecutive  contests.
 Clarke Central's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Cedar Shoals, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
