The Union City Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 71-14 win over Rocky Grove on the road. That 57 points margin sets a new team best for Union City this season.
Cathryn Reynolds continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Cheyenne Cummings was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
The win (which was Union City's fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Rocky Grove, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union City's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cochranton at 7:15 p.m. on January 25th. Cochranton is on a three-game streak of home wins, Union City a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Rocky Grove, they will head out on the road to challenge Saegertown at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
