The St. Lucy's Regents's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 102-25 loss at the hands of Rancho Cucamonga. St. Lucy's was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-12.
Despite the loss, St. Lucy's still got an impressive performance from Brooke Baur, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baur has scored all season.
St. Lucy's has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Rancho Cucamonga, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-6.
St. Lucy's will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Etiwanda at 4:45 p.m. Etiwanda knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine games -- so hopefully St. Lucy's likes a good challenge. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they will head out on the road to square off against Upland at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Upland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 538th, while Rancho Cucamonga is ranked 132nd).
