Softball Recap: Lutheran Snags 14th Win in Last 15 Games

Lutheran barely beat Lewis-Palmer the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions put the hurt on the Rangers with a sharp 18-6 win on Monday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by eight runs or more this season.

Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Lewis-Palmer, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.

Coming up, Lutheran will face off against Air Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Kadets have averaged an impressive 10.3 runs per game this season. As for Lewis-Palmer, they will challenge Coronado at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Rangers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
