They fell victim to a  tough 12-3 loss at the hands of the Big Bear Bears  on Thursday.  On Big Bear's side, they got a  massive  performance out of  Brennen Berge, who  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  doubles,  and a  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Kade Jordan, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy has  fallen quite a ways from their 12-5 record last season and are now  at 0-10. As for Big Bear,  the  victory  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 5-2.
 Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  an  11-1  loss vs. University Prep on the 15th. As for Big Bear, they will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Excelsior Charter at 3:15  p.m.  on March 27th.
