The Central Bobcats entered their tilt with the Kellis Cougars with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Central was the clear victor by a 70-49 margin over Kellis. Considering Central has won three contests by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Aligo Banja continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 19 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sabih Almasri, who scored 20 points.
Central now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Kellis, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Central will head out on the road to face off against North Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (North Canyon is ranked 154th, while Central is ranked 151st). As for Kellis, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Metro Tech at 7:00 p.m. Metro Tech is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
