The Glasgow Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to take on the Westran Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Glasgow has six straight wins, Westran has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Glasgow will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Fayette, who they had gone 0-7 against in their seven prior meetings. The Yellowjackets were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Falcons on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Brooklynn Morris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Glasgow let Hailey Monnig and Aly Prentzler run wild. Monnig went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs, while Prentzler went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Monnig is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Halle Fuemmeler, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Glasgow kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 8-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, while it was Westran who put the first runs on the board on Thursday, it was New Franklin who put up more. The Hornets fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 7-5.
Kate Hollmann made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Kharigan Fuemmeler also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Glasgow's record is now 9-3. As for Westran, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Glasgow has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Westran struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Glasgow skirted past Westran 13-12 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
