University Prep and Red Bluff are an even 4-4 against one another  since March of 2020, but likely not for long. The Panthers will venture away from home to  challenge the Spartans  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. University Prep's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8  runs per game  this season, so Red Bluff's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
University Prep is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They blew past Anderson 18-3 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 12 matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.

 Tristin Raglin and  Lane Powell made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing,  Raglin   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Meanwhile,  Powell   struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Raglin has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in four consecutive appearances. At the plate,  Raglin  got on base  in three of his five plate appearances with two  runs and one  double, while  Powell  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. Those  four  RBI gave  Powell a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Luca Snell and  Jack Ampi did most of the damage at the plate:  Snell  went a perfect 1-for-1 with two  runs and two  RBI, while  Ampi  went 3-for-5 with three  RBI and one  run. That's the most  RBI  Ampi has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Casey Wrathall, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs.
 University Prep  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Anderson only posted  an  OBP of  .333.
Eureka hit Red Bluff with a five-run sixth inning  on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Spartans fell just short of the Loggers by a score of  8-7. The Spartans have struggled against the Loggers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
 Red Bluff saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Cooper Sides, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 University Prep's record now sits at 17-8-1. As for Red Bluff, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.
Wednesday's   game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. University Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .347. However, it's not like Red Bluff struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .354. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 University Prep skirted past Red Bluff  4-3 in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
