The Hempfield Area Spartans will look to defend their home court against the North Allegheny Tigers at 7:30 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Hempfield Area has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while North Allegheny will arrive with three straight wins.
Hempfield Area pushed their score all the way to 55 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-55 to Butler.
Meanwhile, North Allegheny didn't have too much trouble with Susquehanna Township on the road on Sunday as they won 58-44.
Hempfield Area bumped their record down to 7-6 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for North Allegheny, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
Things could have been worse for Hempfield Area, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-44 loss to North Allegheny in their previous meeting back in January of 2023.
