It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Springstead Eagles can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 45-27 to Wiregrass Ranch. Springstead lost against Wiregrass Ranch in their previous head to head back in September, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 52-45 score last time.

Wiregrass Ranch's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Riggins, who picked up 250 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Riggins' longest reception was for an incredible 85 yards. Another player making a difference was Luke Knight, who threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns.
Springstead's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record.
Springstead does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wiregrass Ranch will head out on the road to face off against Lake Minneola at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Minneola will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
