Football Recap: Mohawk Area Comes Up Short

Mohawk Area was the 35-19 winner over New Brighton when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Lions by a score of 38-35 on Friday.

Despite the loss, Mohawk Area still got an impressive performance from Bobby Fadden, who rushed for 30 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 118 yards and a pair of TDs. Fadden is becoming a predictor of the Warriors' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Joe Nail made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Mohawk Area's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for New Brighton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
