Bishop is 1-9 against Santa Fe Christian since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Knights will host the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Santa Fe Christian will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Bishop's extended their winning streak to four on Friday. Everything went the Knights' way against Francis Parker as they made off with a 10-2 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Clyde Kates made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Bishop's let Henry Armstrong and Ian Browne run wild. Armstrong went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Browne went 1-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most RBI Armstrong has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Moreno, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Bishop's lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Santa Fe Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Maranatha Christian on Friday.
Will Cavanaugh looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Kyle Plasman was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Santa Fe Christian: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 8-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kam Lohse, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Bishop's victory bumped their record up to 16-8-1. As for Santa Fe Christian, the win got them back to even at 12-12.
