The Peck Pirates can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Capac and snuck past 44-42.
It was another big night for Thomas West, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cal Heiden, who scored 11 points along with five assists and three steals.
Peck's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Capac, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
Peck didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-31 victory vs. Mayville on the 9th. Capac will head out on the road to challenge Marlette at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
