If North Bend Central wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Milford, they should've done a better job of containing Shayla Rautenberg. The Eagles walked away with a 61-48 victory over the Tigers on Saturday for which the team can thank Rautenberg, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 15 boards. Her big performance that afternoon made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points.

North Bend Central lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Reese Petersen, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lauren Sterup, who put up 11 points in addition to seven steals and five boards.

The win (which was Milford's fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. As for North Bend Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milford will welcome Malcolm at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Bend Central, they will square off against Raymond Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' defense better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 53.5 points per game this season.
